A bunch of enthusiastic kinda crazy Miami Rotarians and guests made it to Sun Life stadium on Saturday morning the 20th and rocked the house packing more than 500 meals for hungry folk of 50+ years.

If you did not attend you better plan on coming next year cuz helping a good cause has never been easier and this much fun. By the time we were done, everyone heard that we had reached the '350,000 meals packed' mark toward our goal of 1 million. It seemed like a race or something out of a reality game show as we lined up with aprons, hair nets, beard nets, mustache nets, hand covers (otherwise called gloves) and took our starting positions at the tables. Ready, set, go! Beans, rice some dried veggies, spices and various other goodies went into the clear plastic nutrition labeled bags which then had to be weighed between 388-390 grams, sealed and boxed. The process was very cool as we evolved from a sputtering bean spilling assembly line into a well oiled packing machine. Fun had by all. Next year we should have a picnic afterwards!

Well done Miami Rotary!
