The President's Volunteer Service Award program recognizes individuals, families, and groups that have achieved a certain standard - measured by the number of hours of service over a twelve-month period.

You will receive:
An official President's Volunteer Service Award lapel pin
A personalized Certificate of Achievement
A congratulatory letter from the President of the United States

Please keep track of your hours starting July 1, 2011.  They may be submitted monthly at the last meeting of each month to me personally, emailed to diane@nvp-usa.org or faxed to 305-663-2633.  Provide your printed name, total number of hours and a brief example of activity.  Some examples of activities include: attending a Rotary Board meeting, attending a group service event, participating in church, helping at your child's school, driving someone in need, free child care, picking up trash on your daily walk...to name only a few possibilities.

It is my hope that everyone will participate and qualify for an award.  To receive the first level of award it is only 100 hours (only 2 hours a week).  When you begin keeping track of your "gift of time" I am sure you will be amazed how much you really do.
