President Robert Bull welcomed everyone to our St. Patrick’s Day Happy Hour Celebration, on March 17^th meeting.  This was our 38^th meeting of this fiscal year.

 

Birthday Day’s: Total is the birthday of Mike McGovern, he was last week’s speaker and by the way, he is Irish.  I guess it is a blessing for an Irishman to have a birthday on St. Patrick’s Day.  Marcia Brod and David McManus are celebrating their respective birthdays on March 20^th.  Happy Birthday Marcia & David!

 

To enjoy this holiday to the fullest, Robert Bull opened up a bottle of Guinness Stout beer. This stuff will grow hair on your chest. He then said: “We are going to have a few games and a lot of fun”.  If you have not done so already.  It would be a good idea to get a paper and pencil.  We will select the winner and if there is a tie, with the Picker Wheel will select the winner.

 

Our first contest was for the most interesting and unique Irish toast. He started with a toast.  Maybe followed up but the winner of the best Irish Toast was a toss-up between Shirley Pardon and Dunia Miranda.  The Picker Wheel chose Dunia and she won a bottle of Sheelin.

 

Just to be sure, that everyone was prepared for what was coming up a JibJab video of some of your Board members was shown.  That video stared Amelia Bonilla, Jay Almeida, Noreen Timoney, Diane Landsberg and Robert Bull.  This video may be seen on the Club’s website.

 

The next game was a word search.  There were three minutes allocated to identify words in this search.    The winner of the word search was Stephanie Bull and she won a bottle of Kilbrin.

 

Then there were some Irish Jokes. Not exactly a family friendly joke.  The winner of the best Irish joke was Randy Lichtman and he won a bottle of Bailey’s

 

A World Jumble followed this up and the winner was Michelle Harworth who won a bottle of Kavanagh Irish whiskey.  

 

Before proceeding with the final Prize a video of Ireland and River Dancing was shown.  Then the winner of the most Irish looking dressed person was Tim Ryan and he won Guinness Extra Stout.

 

To find out who was happy after this St. Patrick’s Day Happy Hour, we had LUCKY DOLLARS instead of Happy Dollars.  The donors to Lucky Dollars were Randy Lichtman, Noreen Timoney, Marcia Brod, Tim Ryan, Susan Shelley, Stephanie Bull, Cathy Cahill, Ada Dana, Marissa Miles, Carlos Bonadies and Dunia Miranda.  Our St. Patrick’s Day Happy Hour ended with everyone smiling and ready to have dinner.
