ROTARY AREAS OF FOCUS – There are many areas that Rotary engages in as shown below:

Today’s Program: President Noreen introduced guest speaker Brett McNaught –CEO of Educate Tomorrow since 2012.

The Mission of Educate Tomorrow is to “CREATE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR DISADVANTAGED KIDS”

Mr. McNaught gave a detailed history of his involvement and the beginnings of Education Tomorrow from the organization’s beginning 18 years ago with Foster Care Children. He found through research that Florida had tuition fees for college for Foster Care children. His objective was to ensure that the FC children knew about this opportunity.

All Florida colleges now have over 7,000 students from the system that are able to have a college education because of this. It is now looked at as a template for the country.

A website www.PositivePathwaysFlorida.org gives all information.

He took questions from Members following his presentation.

President Noreen thanked Brett for his interesting and informative talk by presenting him with a Certificate of Appreciation and said that at our next tree planting, The Rotary Club of Miami will be planting a tree in his name.

Happy $$$$s proceeds will be contributed to Educate Tomorrow
