President Oliver Ruiz welcomed everyone to the meeting. Jay Almeida gave the invocation and Scott Richey led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Cory was happy that last weekend he had a good time with his daughter driving her to the University of Florida for orientation, and enjoyed spending time with her. She is very excited about attending the university.
Scott Richey was very happy that his wife, Karla, and he enjoyed time in Cancun.
Rick Miller was happy to report that two of his children are employed and one is in graduate school.
Jay Almeida drove Stephanie to Lakeland, for a service project to provide food-stuffed backpacks for needy children.
Randy Lichtman was pleased that his son is in Wisconsin and got two offers after graduating with a degree in physical therapy.
Past President Tim Ryan went to Orlando for an American Jail Association Conference.
Past President and Past District Governor Robin Shelley reported that Susie and he enjoyed a trip to the Virgin Islands.
Dave Skinner is happy that Dr. Percy Nelson is joining our club.
Noreen Timoney is happy to be a part of all the things the Rotary Club of Miami does.
President Oliver Ruiz was very happy about the sapphire Paul Harris Fellow pins that were awarded to our members during our club’s 100th Anniversary Gala.

Next week, a board meeting will take place at 10:30 am, and will precede our regular lunch meeting at the Miami Yacht Club.
President Oliver encouraged members to register for and attend the Rotary District Training Assembly on April 22nd.
There will be no meeting on April 27th, as a number of club members will be aboard the Fathom Ship to do service in the Dominican Republic.
Today’s Speaker was our own Jay Almeida, who spent countless hours creating and editing video of the club’s Centennial Gala, played the video to the delight of the audience. It captured the spirit of the night and the glee of the 325 attendees. Then Jay presented a slide picture show. Jay will upload the video to www.rotarytv.org. President Oliver presented Jay with a Certificate of Appreciation for his presentation today.
