The Rote for July 4, 2022

 

July 4th was celebrated with plenty of food and Fireworks and was experienced by nearly 40 members, spouses and friends. Don & Maria Van Orsdel opened their beautiful home to our club to enjoy the first event for President Brian’s year.

 

The Board of Directors works hard to plan and implement exciting and entertaining social events to give all members the opportunity to spend casual time with one another. It is important that you make efforts to attend. As much as the regular Thursday meetings are important, with the many, interesting guest speakers, being part of the community service projects and social events allow you to engage with one another. It is guaranteed that friendships will develop and deepen with other “like-minded” caring individuals.

President Brian again carried many boxes and supplies, Sue Ryan made a delicious dip, Linda & Dave brought ice cream and a prospective member, Lois. Jay brought the music, Phil collected payments, Clara Area helped to unload food, set up, serve and clean up and Steve Dutton always jumps in to help with whatever is needed. And thanks to the many that helped to stack the chairs & tables that my strong handyman delivered and put away everything.
