ZOOM Meeting on August 17, 2021
Ghassan Dagher, the Satellite Club Chair, welcomed everyone to the Rotary Club of Miami
Evening Satellite Club Meeting.

Noreen Timoney gave the invocation and
Robert Bull led us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Announcements:
Today’s Date in History; August 17
th. 1790 - USA capital city moved to Philadelphia from New York City. 1903- Joseph Pulitzer donated million dollars to start the Pulitzer Prize. 1992- Woody Allen admitted relationship with his adopted stepdaughter. 1998 – Pres. Clinton admitted having a relationship with Monica Lewinsky.

ESMAG: Robert Bull explained about ESMAG’s activities.

We will have the upcoming Beach Cleanup with the
International Coastal Cleanup. There are two locations for the Cleanup. One on
Miami Beach at 46th Street by the Edon Roc. Contacts will be
Arlene Terrinoni and
Norys Figuera, and
Matheson Hammock where
Robert Bull will be the contact. Saturday,
September 18th is the International Coastal Cleanup Day. Sign up for this event will be in a few weeks. We will keep you posted. Students may earn Community Service hours, just let us know, send some photos as proof and a Community Service Certificate will be emailed to the student.

EndPlasticSoup: our Club will be the Ambassador of that entity in our District.

Alpha Generator Investment Club:
Dave Anderson spoke about the Alpha Generator Investment Club. He said that Each Member pays initial formation costs $100. Investment requirement per Members is $300/semester. Once a Member has accumulated $300, they may send their funds that will be are invested within the pooled funds following Quarter.New Members may join at any time, but their $300 will be invested at the beginning of a Quarter.

Keynote Speaker: Robert Bull, who was our keynote speaker, covered the topic of the
“Magic of Compound Interest” and its impact on your retirement.

Four-Way Test: To end the meeting,
Ariel Gonzalez led us in the Four-Way Test
