There will be no lunch meeting on December 6, 13, and 27, and January 3. The December 20th holiday lunch will be at the Miami Yacht Club. Honorary Member Reverend Bill White will be attending to receive our donations to Feed Miami. You may bring your donation of non-perishable food items to Diane’s house at the holiday party. If you have not already completed your $100 Challenge, you can buy $100 in groceries and the club will reimburse you;
The Griffitts Award dinner honoring the City of Miami Police Office of the Year will be Thursday, December 6th at 5:00 at the Police Benevolent Association. See the website for details;
Our annual holiday party will be on December 15th at 7:00 at Diane Landsberg’s house. PleaseRSVP if you plan to attend. Details will be sent by email;

Cathy Cahill announced that she is back for good from her work in California. We are so happy to have her back again;
Amelia Bonilla said that Marcia Brod, Angela Deggs, Norby Rudel and she pooled their funds from our $100 Challenge to do a service project to provide items including a tool kit, bus passes and beauty samples for the women at the Inn Transition shelter;
Noreen Timoney was happy about the club members’ participation in the American Heart Association Heart Walk;
Robin Shelley was happy about the Rotary Zone meeting and Zone service projects he participated in. He said one of the projects was Rise Against Hunger, for which 100,000 meals were packed;
Cory Gittner enjoyed Thanksgiving and the American Heart Association Walk;
Linda Singer enjoyed Thanksgiving with Marcia Brod, her family and friends, and was delighted that Cathy Cahill and John Carroll were present at today’s meeting;
OUR SPEAKER was our own Cory Gittner. He prefaced his demonstration by stating that he believes that 70% of Americans over 40 who have chronic diseases are affected their inability to deal with chronic stress. A long time yoga practitioner, he explained the 8 limbs of yoga. Then Cory led us in a yoga breathing exercise, followed by doing a few yoga positions, and a concentration and guided meditation.

Rick Hernandez sold the 50/50 raffle tickets. $86 of tickets were sold today, creating a pot of $295. Gregory Herman-Giddens picked the winning card!
