Insights on virus testing and vaccines
Emmanuel Thomas, M.D., Ph D., is the co-director of the diagnostic laboratory providing validated testing reagents and virus transport media to the Department of Pathology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.  He has recently given webinars on COVID-19 as part of his work with the American Liver Foundation and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.

Having been raised in Miami-Dade County, Dr. Thomas has a strong commitment to improving the health of our local community. Through community screening programs, he is identifying HCV infected individuals and linking them to care so that they can be cured of this deadly virus.  The Rotary Club of Miami, as Trustees of the Thomas Brown McClelland Trust, is especially proud of Dr. Thomas because he was a recipient of scholarship dollars from the Trust during his time in medical school.  Join us to hear his insights on virus testing and vaccines at the Rotary Club of Miami's Zoom meeting at 12:30 pm on June 11.
